NevskyTalks in a New Format

During the summer season, the NevskyTalks project is being held in a new format. Conversations on faith in the English language now take place in the pleasant setting of the courtyard of the Church of Saint Alexander Nevsky in Belgrade, following the Divine Liturgy.

The first gathering in this new format was held on 24 May 2026, shortly before the celebration of the patronal feast of the Missionary Department. The discussion focused on the Resurrection of Christ, and the speaker was Deacon Dr Đorđe Petrović, a permanent expert associate of the Section for External Mission and a Professor of Dogmatic Theology at the Saint Sava Theological Seminary in Belgrade. Among those in attendance were members of our NevskyTalks group originating from the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Greece.

During this session, we were also visited by a television crew that wished to capture something of an atmosphere of the NevskyTalks gathering.

Further development of the English-language discussion programme is planned for the autumn, including the introduction of several significant innovations. Interested participants will be informed in due course through our online portal.
