On 2 June 2026, Presbyter Dr Oliver Subotić, Head of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci, participated in a scientific conference dedicated to the life and legacy of Nikola Tesla. Organized by the Serbian branch of the Tesla Science Foundation, the conference was held in Belgrade on the premises of the RTS Club – Gallery.
The conference was opened with an introductory address by Academician Matija Bećković. Among the participants were Professor Dr Gordana Vunjak-Novaković (Columbia University, USA), Vladimir Jelenković (former Director of the Nikola Tesla Museum), Professor Dr Dragan Stanić (President of Matica Srpska), Professor Dr Zoran Avramović, Professor Dr Boško Suvajdžić, Professor Dr Milutin Đuričković, and many other distinguished scholars and public figures.
Presbyter Dr Oliver Subotić delivered a presentation during the first session of the conference entitled “The Challenges of Idealization, Ideologization, and Idolatry in the Affirmation of the Life and Legacy of Nikola Tesla.” His paper on this subject will be published on our portal as soon as it is made available by the Tesla Science Foundation.
