Radio-Beseda: The call to the liturgical community is the most important task of the portal „Kinonia“

The guest of the new edition of the show „Radio guest“ as part of the programme of Radio-Beseda, the official media outlet of the Diocese of Bačka, was catechist Branislav Ilić. In the conversation led by journalist Nada Vižlina Radeljić, catechist Branislav, in the spirit of the recently celebrated feast of the Missionary Department of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovci, spoke about the importance of the activities of the aforementioned missionary body, as well as the successful work of the missionary portal „Kinonia“.

In the introductory part of the conversation, the guest of Radio-Beseda introduced the listeners to the activities of the Missionary Department of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovci within the five sections that make up the organizational unit of the only official missionary body in our local Church. This segment of the conversation also discussed the cooperation of the Missionary Department of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovci with the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Belgrade, the Theological Seminary of Saint Sava in Belgrade, the Catechetical Committee of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovci, “Pravoslavlje” – the newspaper of the Serbian Patriarchate, “Hram” television and Radio “Slovo ljubve”.

Catechist Branislav spoke in detail about the missionary work of the portal “Kinonia”, its content, publication schedule, series and projects operating within the portal. Branislav emphasized that the portal “Kinonia” publishes only custom made content, which is completely authentic, therefore excluding any possibility of downloading material from other websites.

The guest of Radio-Beseda introduced the editorial staff and all the permanent collaborators of the portal „Kinonia“, emphasizing that the Lord has called all these wonderful, gifted, educated and hardworking people to the blessed missionary work. Speaking about the feedback that arrives daily, Branislav said that the impressions and comments of the readership contribute to the progress of the portal’s work.

In the final part of the conversation, the guest of the official media outlet of the Diocese of Bačka emphasized that the work of the portal „Kinonia“ aims to call people into the liturgical community and to enrich the readership with diverse and high-quality content. Catechist Branislav Ilić thanked the editorial staff of Radio-Beseda for their hospitality and the fruitful cooperation in the field of church mission over many years.

Protopresbyter-Staurophorus Vajo Jović

Protopresbyter-Staurophorus Vajo Jović was born in 1956 in Ugljevik, Srpska.

Priest in Zagreb and Secretary of the Diocesan Board of the Metropolis of Zagreb and Ljubljana since 1979.
From Zagreb, he served the missionary parish in Maribor.
Parish priest at the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky in Belgrade since 1991.
Since 2000, Elder of the same church and Director of the Orthodox Missionary School until his retirement in 2023.

Forty-two years of priestly service are characterized by intensive missionary work.

Recipient of the Order of St. Sava, third degree.

Protopresbyter-Staurophor Radivoj Panić

Protopresbyter-Staurophor Radivoj Panić is the coordinator of the Parish Mission Department of the Missionary Department of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovci. He was born on April 1, 1961 in Novi Sad. He completed the seminary in Sremski Karlovci in 1981.

From 1986 to 1991, he was engaged as a librarian at the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Belgrade.

He was ordained to the priesthood in 1992. He began his pastoral ministry as a parish priest in Kosova Polje, where he served from 1992 to 2001. After that, from 2001 to 2009, he was the parish priest at the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky, and since 2009 he has served as the parish priest at the Church of St. Sava. He completed his theological studies in 2008, at a time when he was already serving as a parish priest.

He is particularly involved in organizing pilgrimages to Kosovo and Metohija, as well as in humanitarian work. He collaborates with the organization “Our Serbs” from Chicago, through which he actively participates in providing assistance to the Serbian people in Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija, as well as in supporting domestic organizations operating in these areas.

Father Radivoj Panić is considered one of the most respected priests of the Archbishopric of Belgrade and Karlovac.
