The Centre for Creative and Artistic Personal Development held yet another poetry evening on Saturday, 14 June, at Avenija 19.
In cooperation with the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade and Karlovci, and as part of the Chinese-Language Mission Programme coordinated by Sandra Knežević, an evening segment was devised and delivered in Chinese. In view of our ongoing collaboration focused on the translation and arrangement of hymns and spiritually-aimed materials, the Cherubic Hymn was, for this occasion, performed in Chinese. It was rendered by the choir of the Church of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Streamer in New Belgrade, with which the Missionary Department also has a long-standing cooperation.
Later in the evening, visitors from China were acquainted with Orthodox texts and prayers in the Chinese language, as well as the hagiography of Saint John of Shanghai.
