On Monday, May 26, 2025, a Volunteer Section was established within the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci. The aim of this section is to provide technical support in the implementation of missionary activities organized by the Department.
The initial volunteer team consists of the parishioners of the Church of the Ascension in Žarkovo, who wish to participate in the missionary activities of our Church.
The formation of this section represents a significant step in further improving the work of the Department, which—by the blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije—strives to respond to its missionary mandate in a very efficient and active way.
We are using this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the faithful of Žarkovo, who have shown their willingness to contribute to the Church’s mission today through their skill and dedication, thereby helping the Department work more efficiently.
Any adult Orthodox Christian can become a member of the Volunteer Section, provided they show a freely expressed desire to assist in the work of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci, along with the written recommendation from their parish priest or spiritual father.
