The first activity of the Missionary Department of the AEM, immediately following the completion of two years of its existence, is the initiation of cooperation with the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade, an institution of strategic importance for the mission of our local Church. The cooperation with this eminent and highly significant educational institution will formally commence on Thursday, 19 February at 10:30 a.m., when, in Classroom No. 2 of the Faculty, the concept and work of the Missionary Department—organized by its respective sections and projects—will be presented to students of theological studies.
The Missionary Department of the AEM will be represented by:
- Presbyter Dr Oliver Subotić, Head of the Missionary Department of the AEM
- Presbyter Dr Aleksandar Milojkov, Coordinator of the Section for Dialogue in the Public Sphere
- Dr Sandra Knežević, Editor of the Chinese-Language Mission Programme of the Section for External Mission
- Dr Nenad Badovinac, Coordinator of the Section for Electronic Mission
- Zoran Luković, Religious Studies Scholar and Coordinator of the Section for Apologetic Mission.
It is planned that this event will formally mark the beginning of cooperation between the Missionary Department of the AEM and the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade. Initially, the cooperation will take the form of monthly lectures in the field of applied missiology, intended for students interested in acquiring practical knowledge in this area. Concurrently, the Missionary Department of the AEM will enable any interested student of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology to visit the Department’s premises and establish contact with its expert members for the purpose of professional development in the fields covered by the Department.
