Since its founding on September 1/14, 2024, the “Kinonija” portal has consistently justified its existence by sanctifying the online space and media sphere through contemporary forms of missionary outreach via information technologies.
In addition to the daily publication of content at kinonija.rs, with the involvement of over sixty regular contributors, and the continual updating of its namesake social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, Viber, and YouTube), careful attention is devoted to the appearance and functionality of the portal itself. We owe special gratitude to our devoted friends who are responsible for the technical maintenance, functionality, and missionary applicability of the site.
During the month of July, alongside regular technical maintenance, several improvements were made to the portal, which we hereby present:
• In recognition of the fact that the Miroslav Gospel bears witness to Christian faith and culture, visitors to the “Kinonija” portal can now view titles in a new font named Miroslav’s Cyrillic ( Miroslavljeva Cyrillica). This change is motivated not by aesthetics, but primarily by missionary purposes, as the script style sends a message to the reader, inspiring the heart to receive the word preached from our digital ambo.
• In response to the voices of our readers, we have opened a new section at the bottom of the portal—a kind of guestbook—in which we publish the most striking impressions of “Kinonija’s” activities to date. Currently, the impressions published stem from interviews conducted as part of our series entitled Kinonija Interviews.
• In light of the growing number of regular authors contributing texts, and in appreciation of the effort and love of all our co-labourers who continually enrich us with new content, each author has now been given a dedicated page. This allows for easier browsing of material within the “Written Word” section.
This enhancement of the portal was completed in anticipation of the first anniversary of its launch, to be marked on the feast of the Indiction, Sunday, September 1/14, 2025. Echoing the divinely inspired words of the Apostle Paul, that “faith comes by hearing” (Romans 10:17), we continue our diligent missionary journey, placing our hope in the Lord, that the seed we sow may yield an abundant harvest.
