As part of the NevskyTalks project, the Section for External Mission of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade and Karlovci organized another regular session in English, primarily intended for foreign nationals residing in Serbia who are interested in the Orthodox Christian faith.
On Saturday, 31 May 2025, beginning at 6:30 p.m., a new lecture in this series was held on the premises of the Missionary Department, in the parish house of the Church of Saint Alexander Nevsky.
The lecture topic was “Icons”, and the speaker was Deacon Dr Đorđe Petrović, Professor of Dogmatics at the Saint Sava Theological Seminary in Belgrade. The moderator was David Đorđević, a permanent expert associate of the Section for External Mission, who has previously participated in the NevskyTalks project as a speaker on the topic of Orthodoxy in the United States.
The lecture and the subsequent discussion lasted approximately ninety minutes. The audience showed particular interest in the topic at hand, posing questions and participating actively in the discussion following the lecture.
The event was recorded and will be published in due course on the official YouTube channel of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade and Karlovci.
