The Section for External Mission of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade and Karlovci continues its regular monthly lectures in English in 2026, as part of its NevskyTalks project. These lectures have been developed for foreign nationals living in Belgrade who are interested in finding out more about Orthodox Christianity.
On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 06:30 PM, a lecture titled “Christian Mission to the Germanic Lands in the 8th Century” will be delivered in English at the Missionary Department, in the parish hall of St. Alexander Nevsky Church. The lecture will be held by an associate of the Section for External Mission, Miloš Romčević – a theologian – while the lecture will be moderated by the philologist David Djordjević, a permanent expert associate of the Missionary Department AEM.
The lecturer, Miloš Romčević, is a Master of Theology who is concurrently completing the final year of philological studies in German language and literature.
His field of academic research at the Faculty of Theology is the history of the Church in the West before the Great Schism.
Admission is free.
