“All of Serbia celebrates the glory of its father, Saint Sava!”
In this year of our Lord 2025, the entire Serbian Orthodox Church joyfully commemorates the 850th anniversary of the birth of Saint Sava, the most significant figure in the history of our people. In light of this great jubilee and the central feast of Saint Sava, the editorial team of the missionary portal “Kinonia” contributes to the celebration of Saint Sava’s festivities in its own way.

- The publication of an original article by catechist Branislav Ilić, editor of the “Kinonia” portal, on the significance and role of Saint Sava in the formation of monastic typika.
Sunday, January 26, 2025
- As part of the regular section “From the Editor’s Pen,” readers will have the opportunity to explore a text dedicated to the spiritual patron of the Serbian people.
- In the evening, the multimedia feature will be posted, covering the liturgical celebration of Saint Sava and the hymnography of the feast.
Monday, January 27, 2025
- The “Written Word” section, regularly contributed by permanent associates of the “Kinonia” missionary portal, will be enriched by a new text by Danijela Marković, focusing on the spiritual role of Saint Sava as our guide to eternal life.
Tuesday, January 28, 2025
- On the official Facebook page of the “Kinonia” portal, a special Saint Sava interview will be published with Nevena Milosavljević, a portal associate and editor of the „Sacred Sites of Kosovo and Metohija“ project.

- The “Written Word” section will feature an article by catechist Petka Luković, providing a reflection on the renowned work of Saint Justin of Ćelije, “Saint Sava’s Legacy as a Philosophy of Life”.
Thursday, January 30, 2025
- As part of the regular “From the Patristic Treasury” project, entrusted to students of theological seminaries of the Serbian Orthodox Church , who are also portal contributors, an excerpt from Saint Justin of Ćelije’s writings on Saint Sava will be presented.
Friday, January 31, 2025
- In the “Written Word” section, an article by Fr. Vidak Vujadinović, titled “Saint Sava’s Legacy as Heavenly Dwelling on Earth,” will conclude the series of contributions dedicated to Saint Sava’s week.
Throughout Saint Sava’s Week, the official Facebook page of the “Kinonia” portal will feature a curated selection of previously published articles from September 2024 to January 2025, all focusing on the importance of the first Serbian Archbishop, Saint Sava.
