The Section for dialogue in the public sphere of the AEM Missionary Department, together with the Biblical cultural centre, organised a panel discussion on April 17 th , 2024, on the topic “Artificial Intelligence – a good servant and/or a bad master?” at the Belgrade Youth Centre.
In a fully packed hall, with more than a hundred people, the answers to some intriguing questions, such as: (Is it a good servant and/or a bad master? What are the challenges we are facing, and how should we relate to them? What are the fundamental questions that arise from the standpoint of Christian ethics, especially in relation to the possible misuse of artificial intelligence?), were given by:
- Presbyter Dr. Oliver Subotic, the manager of the Archbishopric of Belgrade and Karlovci (AEM for short) Missionary Department,
- Presbyter Stefan Jovanovic, a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology, University of Belgrade,
- Dr. Aleksandar Petrovic, a philosopher and a professor at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade,
- Valerijan Matvejev, a software engineer and a Master’s degree student at the Polytechnic University of Nantes, and
- Deacon Dr. Aleksandar Milojkov, a coordinator of the Section for dialogue in the public sphere of the AEM Missionary Department (and the discussion moderator).
