New Discussion Series: “Orthodoxy and Psychology”

In cooperation with the  Cultural Centre Čukarica, the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade–Karlovci is launching a new discussion series entitled “Orthodoxy and Psychology,” beginning in May. It will take place once a month in the small hall of the Cultural Centre Čukarica and will bring together lecturers from the fields of Orthodox theology and psychology, with the aim of fostering dialogue on topics of mutual interest within these disciplines.

The discussions are being launched in memory of Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica (1914 – 2003), an exceptional knower of the human soul, who once delivered his anthological lecture beneath  the arches of the very building that now houses the Cultural Centre Čukarica, before a packed audience in the then  “Šumadija” cinema hall.

The series moderator will be the psychologist Viktor Vicanović, a spiritual child of Elder Thaddeus and a permanent professional associate of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade–Karlovci.

The date, topic, and participants of the first discussion in the series will be announced in due course on the official website of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade–Karlovci.
