The Section for Electronic Mission of the Missionary Department of the Archbishopric of Belgrade and Karlovci is launching an educational missionary programme entitled “Digital Parish Mission”, intended for all Orthodox Christians from the territory of the Archbishopric of Belgrade and Karlovci who wish to acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills for bearing witness to the faith in the digital space, primarily for the needs of the parishes to which they belong. The course begins on 5 March 2026 at 6:00 p.m. on the premises of the Missionary Department and represents a continuation of the Section’s systematic activities aimed at enhancing the electronic mission of parish churches within the Archbishopric of Belgrade and Karlovci.
The course is conceived as a mission-oriented project that provides participants (that is, parishioners who wish to contribute to the mission of their parish churches) with the skills and knowledge necessary for responsible witness to the Orthodox faith in the electronic sphere. The course will be led by Dr Nenad Badovinac, an information technology expert, Coordinator of the Section for Electronic Mission, and a specialist with many years of experience in digital media and missionary work, as well as in the development and management of projects that integrate technology, social responsibility, and Christian values. During the course, topics will include digital communication, parish websites, social media, online content, and the ethical challenges of the contemporary digital age.
All those interested in attending the course may apply by email at misionarsko.odeljenje@gmail.com. The application should include the applicant’s full name, contact details, and a brief note outlining the motivation for participation. Participants are also required to have the oral blessing of their parish priest or spiritual father.
After submitting the application, candidates will receive all additional information regarding the organization of the course in due time.
