The lecture in English on the topic “Saint John of Shanghai: Life, Work, and Legacy” was held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, on the premises of the Missionary Department of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci (AEM). The speaker was Mr. Branislav Bubalo, an IT expert who lived in California for 20 years and personally attended the canonization of Saint John of Shanghai and San Francisco in 1994 in San Francisco. The moderator of the lecture was Presbyter Oliver Subotić, the head of the Missionary Department.

The lecture provided a comprehensive insight into the life and work of Saint John of Shanghai. One of the most remarkable, touching, and inspiring moments of the event was when the speaker shared his personal experience regarding the prayerful intercession of Saint John of Shanghai.
International Audience and Active Participation
Among the interested participants were foreign nationals from Australia, the United States, Russia, and India, who engaged actively in the discussion after the inspiring and eloquent presentation by Mr. Bubalo.
Additionally, through Skype, a NevskyTalks group member from Mexico followed the lecture remotely and also joined the discussion with a question.
