Van Xuan, originally from Baoding, China, has embraced the Orthodox Christian faith and was baptized on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (Sretenje Gospodnje). The sacrament of baptism was performed by Father Veniamin at the Vavedenje Monastery in Belgrade.
At his baptism, Brother Van Xuan received the Christian name John (Jovan).
